Level Up Curriculum

What Is Level Up?

​​Be a part of a team that learns and works together to create a social enterprise, develop a website using WordPress, and develop a digital marketing campaign. At the end of the program, you will present your achievements to the Hack the Hood community at Demo Day, where you can apply for a mini grant to launch your next project.

Timeline : 10 weeks
Program Hours: Tue + Thur 4:30 - 6:30pm + Lab Wed 4:30 - 6:30pm (optional)

What You'll Do In Level Up?

  • Level Up Curriculum Matrix

Week 1: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Objective - To create a safe, collaborative and supportive learning environment

Week 2-4: Social Enterprise

Week 5-7: Web Design
  • Brand Identify
Objective - To  understand branding basics and the importance of brand consistency.

Objective - To understand the core components of WordPress

Week 8-10: Digital Marketing
  • Customer Personas
Objective - To define your ideal audience/customer . The more this is fine tuned, the easier it will be to create content and engage.

Objective - To understand the different types of content that can be created and best practices for creating. The  class covers a variety of free tools.
